What Is The Compressive Strength Of PVC Hose

As a manufacturer, we are well aware that the compressive strength of PVC hoses directly affects the practicality of products. The compressive strength of PVC hoses is affected by multiple factors, the first of which is raw materials and formula. We use high-quality polyvinyl chloride resins and add appropriate amounts of plasticizers and stabilizers to improve the structural strength and pressure resistance of the hose while ensuring flexibility.
The second is production technology and structural design. By optimizing the extrusion process, the uniformity of the tube wall thickness is precisely controlled to ensure that it will not burst due to local weakness when subjected to force. Some high-pressure models will also add polyester fiber or steel wire braided layers as reinforcement layers, increasing the normal working pressure of ordinary PVC hoses from 0.3-0.6MPa to 1.0-1.6MPa, which can meet the needs of scenarios such as car washing and small high-pressure cleaning.
However, it should be noted that there is an upper limit to the compressive strength of PVC hoses. High temperature, scratches from sharp objects, and excessive bending will reduce its pressure-bearing performance. We recommend that users choose products with corresponding pressure levels according to actual usage scenarios. For example, low-pressure models can be selected for home watering, and high-pressure models with reinforcement layers are recommended for industrial cleaning to ensure safety and life.
