Through repeated formula optimization and long-term operational aging tests, the stable continuous working temperature of Clear PVC Flexible Duct Hose is confirmed as -15℃ to 65℃. This temperature range is scientifically defined to balance service life, structural stability and operational safety, covering most common industrial applications such as woodworking dust removal, workshop air circulation, equipment heat dissipation and low-temperature flue gas ventilation. It also conforms to the standard temperature tolerance range of mainstream transparent PVC flexible ducts available on the market.
Ordinary recycled PVC hoses are prone to hardening and cracking when bent in cold environments. In comparison, our product is blended with high-grade cold-resistant plasticizers to improve the flexibility of the PVC molecular structure. It remains soft and bendable at temperatures ranging from 0℃ to -15℃, without fracturing or elastic failure during stretching and turning. It is well-suited for open workshops in cold winter regions, outdoor dust removal equipment and auxiliary ventilation for cold storage facilities, eliminating seasonal hose replacement and reducing overall equipment maintenance costs.
It is critical to distinguish between continuous working temperature and instantaneous peak temperature. The hose can withstand short-term hot air impacts of 70℃ to 75℃ without immediate damage, but prolonged operation at such temperatures is strictly prohibited. When the ambient temperature continuously exceeds 65℃, the PVC resin undergoes accelerated aging, resulting in gradual softening and thinning of the pipe wall, reduced transparency, yellowing and fogging. The adhesive layer between the steel wire and PVC wall will delaminate, causing hose collapse, air leakage and tensile deformation, which significantly shortens the overall service life.
To meet special operational demands, we offer customized temperature-resistant models. The low-temperature resistant version can steadily withstand temperatures as low as -30℃ for cold chain processing and low-temperature material conveying, while the high-temperature resistant version can sustain continuous 80℃ hot air for equipment residual heat discharge and mild high-temperature oil fume collection. Temperature fluctuations slightly alter the physical properties of the hose: ductility increases at high temperatures, requiring external support during negative pressure ventilation; the stretching margin decreases in low temperatures, so reserved expansion clearance during installation effectively prevents tensile damage.
Ambient humidity interacts with temperature to influence service performance. High temperature combined with high humidity accelerates material aging, so regular inspection of hose transparency and flexibility is recommended. In cold and humid environments, the galvanized steel wire frame delivers excellent rust resistance and structural stability against fracture. Customers can select standard or customized models according to actual ambient temperature conditions to maximize the service life of Clear PVC Flexible Duct Hose, minimize shutdown losses and replacement costs, and ensure the long-term stable operation of ventilation and dust removal systems.
