How To Improve The UV Resistance Of Plastic Reinforced Hose

Improving the UV resistance of Plastic Reinforced Hoses can be done from multiple perspectives. First, in terms of material selection and modification, UV absorbers or light stabilizers, such as carbon black or UV531, can be added to enhance the material's inherent aging resistance. Alternatively, materials with inherent UV resistance can be used, or performance can be enhanced through blending and modification techniques. Using darker colors or double-layer structures is also effective; darker colors absorb more UV rays and reduce light transmittance.
Coating protection is equally important. Reflective coatings containing titanium dioxide or zinc oxide can be sprayed on the hose surface to create a physical barrier. Specialized coating materials such as polyurethane and epoxy resin can also be used for different scenarios.
Physical protective measures are also essential. Installing sunshade nets, metal sleeves, or awnings can reduce direct sunlight. Optimizing pipeline layout, such as underground routing or installing along the shady side of a building, can also reduce the impact of UV rays.
Furthermore, temperature control and mold optimization are necessary during production and processing to prevent thermal degradation of the material. Regular inspection and timely repair of aging pipes, and considering secondary coating in environments with strong UV rays, can effectively extend the service life of Plastic Reinforced Hoses.
