What is the difference between PU Industrial Dust Hose and PVC hose

Jun 19, 2025 Leave a message

PU Industrial Dust Hose and PVC (polyvinyl chloride) hose each have their own advantages in industrial dust transportation, and their differences are mainly reflected in material characteristics, performance and applicable scenarios.
Material and flexibility: PU Industrial Dust Hose is based on polyurethane, with soft texture and good elasticity. It can easily adapt to complex pipeline layout and is suitable for frequent bending or dragging conditions; PVC hose is mainly made of polyvinyl chloride, which is relatively hard, but its flexibility can still meet basic bending requirements and is suitable for fixed installation or low-frequency mobile scenarios.
Temperature and pressure adaptability: PU hose has a wider temperature resistance range (-40℃ to 90℃), some models can withstand higher temperatures, and have strong negative pressure resistance, which is suitable for dust collection equipment or high temperature environments; PVC hose has a slightly lower temperature resistance (-10℃ to 60℃), but can meet the needs of conventional working conditions and has moderate pressure resistance.
Industry adaptability: PU Industrial Dust Hoses are more suitable for industries with high requirements for hygiene or durability, such as food processing, woodworking machinery, and chemicals, due to their oil resistance and anti-aging properties; PVC hoses are relatively low-cost and suitable for scenarios with limited budgets or simple working conditions, such as light ventilation or dust transportation.
Only by choosing according to the type of dust, complexity of working conditions, and budget requirements can a balance between performance and cost be achieved.
