Whether a Plastic Reinforced Hose can be used to transport food-grade materials depends primarily on whether its material meets food-grade standards.
Ordinary plastic reinforced hoses may be made of ordinary plastic, which may contain harmful substances and should not come into contact with food. However, specialized food-grade plastic reinforced hoses are made of materials that meet national food contact standards, such as food-grade PE and PU. These hoses can transport food-grade materials such as juice, milk, sauces, and dry food ingredients like flour and grains.
However, there are two important points to keep in mind when using them: First, be sure to confirm that they are "food-grade" when purchasing. Check the product test report; don't mistake ordinary hoses for food-grade hoses. Second, clean them promptly after use, especially after transporting highly viscous materials. Residual material can breed bacteria and affect subsequent use.
Furthermore, food-grade Plastic Reinforced Hoses should be kept away from high temperatures or highly corrosive foods, as this may damage the hose or cause substances in the material to leach out, compromising food safety.
